XBOX Softmod Tutorial with Mordens Audio Hack 007 V3

**DISCLAIMER**
Even though this Hack is pretty much fool-proof, You do so at your own risk!!
Before we start, 'Mordens Audio Hack' comes in 2 parts:
Part 1-The 007 Gamesave (BondSave)..This allows you to hack into your Xbox and install the Audio Exploit / And also enables you to FTP!!
Part 2-The actual Audio Exploit itself (Mordens)..Which once installed will let you run any unsigned code (eg backup games)..Without this Audio Exploit in place you aint running much!!
Equipment Needed:
1.XBOX version 1.0 or 1.1 (You can use a Later version XBOX but you would need to Downgrade the Dashboard..Seek advice elsewhere regarding this!!!) - to find out what version you have look here
http://www.xbox-scen.../versions_0.php**Dashboard version 4920 - you can update to this Dash from any game with Xbox Live 1.0 on it (eg. Splinter Cell,
Star Wars KOTOR, MechAssualt) **Please Note** You need to find a game with Live on it earlier than Aug/Sept 2003..
After that date games (eg. XIII, Crimson Skies, Counterstrike) that came with Live on them were 2.0 and MS
have fixed theExploit **You DO NOT want Live 2.0...Only 1.0 with the 4920 Dashboard!!!**
To check what Dashboard version you have, Boot up your Xbox, Goto Settings, Then System Info, Wait for the
MS info to scroll down and at the bottom you will see something like this:
K:1.00.4817.01
D:1.00.4920.01
In this example 4920 is your Dasboard version, If it is lower then follow the points above and if it higher than
4920 then take a look here about Downgrading your Dasboard version

2.Original copy of '007 Agent Under Fire' (NOT A BACKUP!!) Try to find a 2nd hand copy as i think the more recent
Platinum versions may have been patched by MS.
3.Action Replay for XBOX.
4.Offical MS memory card (dont use the Action Replay card...Rubbish!!)
**Now you only need items 5 & 6 if you want to Install games straight to the XBOX Harddrive, as opposed to running stuff from CDRW/DVDRW!!
5.Ethernet PCI Card 10/100Mbps
6.Ethernet Crossover Cable (CAT 5 / RJ45)
And thats it for the Hardware...Pheww..Still with me??
Now you need the Exploit itself:
Mordens_Audio_hack_007_V3.rar (this has the 007 gamesave included)
Have a look around on the Internet (Google)...You will find it, You just need to search for it!!!
STEP 1.Install the Action Replay card reader and Software to your PC (you need a USB port in the back!)
STEP 2.Insert your MS Memory Card into the Card Reader..Windows will detect this as a new device, Just follow
the information it gives you (You may need to insert your Action Replay CD-ROM again).
STEP 3.Unrar 'Mordens Audio Hack' and take out 'BondSave.zip'...Open the Action Replay program and then
Drag & Drop the 007 Gamesave onto the Memory Card window..Hey presto! The gamesave is on your Memory card.
**PLEASE NOTE** Make sure that your Memory card is empty before you add the GameSave!! And also that you have no other 'Agent Under Fire' gamesaves on your XBOX Harddrive before proceeding to STEP 4
If so DELETE THEM!!
STEP 4.Insert your Memory Card into your Controller and boot up your Xbox. Then go to Memory and Copy the 007
Gamesave from you MC to the XBOX Hardrive. Take out your Memory Card.
STEP 5.Insert you copy of 'Agent Under Fire'. Select Start Mission, Then Exit that mission. Go to Load Mission and
Load the 007 Gamesave from your Harddrive.
And if all is well you will see the 'Phoenix Bios Loader' image then the new 'MXM'* Dashboard will Boot up!!!
HEY! HEY! We have hacked into our XBOX ladies and gentlemen!!!
*MXM is a superb dashboard that has a lot more features than the EVO-X dashboard you may have heard about!!
STEP 6.When MXM has loaded Press B to goto the Audio Exploit section (without this you cannot run backups etc...)
Press A to Install it and then A again to Confirm. When that is done it should return to MXM.
Now before you play Backups in the future you will need to Activate this Audio Exploit when you Boot up your XBOX..
Its simple to do and all the info you need is found in the ReadMe in the 'Mordens audio hack'.rar!!!
**PLEASE NOTE** You only need to follow these next steps
if you want to install Games or whatever straight to your XBOX
harddrive..
You can stop here if all you want to do is play CDRW/DVDRW backups!!!!
STEP 7.To FTP into your XBOX you will need to connect your Crossover Cable (CAT5) from your Ethernet Card in your PC to the Ethernet Port in the back of the XBOX. To FTP files to and from PC to XBOX you will need some FTP software. I recommend CUTE FTP. Goto the Site Manager and enter the details as follows-
FTP Host Address - 192.168.0.3
(Your settings for your PC Ethernet connection should be IP Address - 192.168.0.2 and Subnet Mask - 255.255.255.0 You can leave Default Gateway empty).
User Name - xbox
Password - xbox
FTP Port - 21
There we go....Now your PC and XBOX can talk to each other...
Or in other words you can transfer Games, Apps and Emulators
to your XBOX Harddrive!!!! YUM! YUM!
STEP 8. Connect through CUTE FTP to your XBOX and you should now see in the Right-Hand window the inside of your XBOX...You should see these Drives:
c,d,e,f,g and maybe x and y.
**READ THIS FIRST** It would be in your best interest to now
Backup your XBOX C and E drives to your PC..
Just in case you break anything in the future,
You still have copies of those Folders on your PC...You should do this!!
If you want to Install Games, Applications and Emulators to your XBOX you will need to put them onto the E drive..You do not need to touch the C drive
(well i dont anyway!!)
eg. You have the game 'GTA-Vice City' on your PC Harddrive and you want to install it to your XBOX Hardrive..Follow these steps....
1. Start CUTE FTP and Connect to your XBOX.
2. Double click on the E folder and add an new empty folder called 'games'. to it. Then double click to open up that empty 'games' folder.
3. Bring up the GTA-Vice City game folder (on your PC) in the left-hand window in CUTE FTP. Highlight it and then Press on the Upload button at the top of the screen...And away it goes!!!!
The game will now install to your XBOX (It could take around anything from 20 minutes to 45 minutes. So be Patient!!!)
4.After its done you should see the GTA-Vice city game folder appear in E/games on your XBOX harddrive.
5.Disconnect and then Re-Boot your XBOX and there in MXM should be the game you just added in the Games menu..
