Has anyone tried using a lightgun with any of the BFM Bioses? I'm using Xecuter 2.4981.67 with PDM 1.3.5i on a K:5101 Xbox and Bert and Ernie reloaded.

I though I had a fcuked gun 'cos it was all over the shop but I tried another one and it was the same. I've heard various stories, including ones with lightguns, from people who have had controller problems with softmods and have offered various bioses that work better than others for certain games.

Just wondered if anyone else had lightgun problems cos I'm like Michael Ryan on a bad day and it makes playing games impossible.

Can anyone shed any light on this situation or can recommend a good BFM bios for lightguns. To make matters worse my Xbox has a Focus chip which makes for a restricted bios selection.

I hear'd it was best to buy a 100Hz gun the others so I read and hear'd were very shoddy indeed

Do you have a 100Hz TV? is the light gun compatable with it....
Does it work okay normally through the Retail bios? (you could check on a friends Xbox)

Cheers Oblox. I have no idea if it works on a retail game but I have a copy of House of the Dead III on order from Amazon although I'm having postal trouble and it's been sent back a couple of times.

It's a 60hz TV - nothin' fancy. It kinda works in that if you keep the gun still the cursor is a little less random but it's not usable.

I guess I'll have to wait for HOTD3 to turn up before I really know.

I saw a lot of people trade in/return the madcatz light guns (within a week of them being out too) Most traided for another 100Hz gun (I cannot remember the name of it though sorry)
