I wanted to upgrade bios from X2 4979 to X2 4981 on my softmodded xbox. But something went terible wrong. When I restarted box nothing would not load. Just the begining animation and then the X. After that just a black screen. So what can I do?

It sounds like your running the fonts exploit from the way you are talking.
Are you booting directly into EvoX or are you booting PBL first and loading a bios?

yeah are you sure that's all you did? i changed bioses from 4977 to 4981.06. edited the boot.cfg to look for the new bios. reboot, and it's fine. definately more details needed.

yes that is what i did. Can I access XBox HD without xbox booting.

you should be able to get an exploited gamesave working to acces your hd or hotswap.

Yes you can but it requires a hotswap unless your xbox will boot a game - some will boot a game before it hits the black screen. If you can throw mechassualt in and load the gamesave exploit - and fix your box from there. If this is a no go, then hotswap it is.
And if your unsure of what pbl is then how are you booting a bios?
