Why Don't Biosses Disable Dashupdate.xbe

I was wondering on this. Why aren't there some cool bios developers that make a version that disables updatings on the dash. It looks like it's not hard too do and all of the softmod users would appreciate it a lot i guess. Anyone has links too contact those developers?
