Seeing as this doesn't seem to be answered anywhere (And the search function for the forum is offline...), I was wondering if the font hack works with the 4920 Dashboard? I've heard that it only works with the 4034 dash/kernel... but, I'm just wondering... I have the Audio.ST hack working fine on my v1.0 and v1.3 (might be v1.4) xbox... just wondering if the font hack was more feasible for someone that has younger siblings (for the 4920dash/4034 kernel).

Actually it does get a little easier... you can get the already signed pbl 1.3.5 from xbins, no xbedump or rc4 codes

YOU WILL NEED WinHEX

STEP 1 - TRANSFER ERNIE
------------------------------------------------------
1. FTP your ernie.xtf from c/fonts to your
desktop.
------------------------------------------------------

STEP 2 - HEXEDITING
------------------------------------------------------
1. Open up ernie.xtf in WinHEX
2. Go to offset 0958459
3. The current value should be A0
4. Change the value to your liking:
         F0 = Red
         0F = Green
         FF = Orange
         AA or 55 = flashing orange
         5A or A5 = flash red, then green (xmas)
         FA or F5 = Flashing red and orange
         5F or AF = flashing orange and green
5. Save ernie.xtf
------------------------------------------------------

STEP 3 - SEND ERNIE BACK
------------------------------------------------------
1. Now all you have to do is FTP ernie.xtf
   back to your fonts folder

jux a newbie question, but can u open the cd tray with this "native evox/font hack"....or do i need to do a TSOP mod?...because i want to play burned/backup xbox games instead of from the xbox HD.

Don't need any TSOP mods at all. You can still play X-Box games and whatnot. Since you are loading another bios instead of the main X-Box one through PBL you should be able to play backup games.

Just hit the eject DVD button in EvoX, insert your backup, and select Launch DVD.

I'd tell you if I knew the ver of my dashboard. Currently, I've installed EvoX using this method on v1.0 and 1.1 boxes. I have yet to get to other versions. If I do, I will inform you.

What I also did was copy over my v1.1 C:\ directory files into my 1.0 and that worked fine.
