Matrix Unalligning Question

My matrix has been installed for about 2 years. Once in a while it gets unalligned when i take my box around. My question is can i take the Matrix modchip out of my xbox to solder the d0 point to the alternate without it fragging? ive heard that once you take out the matrix chip it frags. Any help would be greatful. Thanks

Yes you can install it in an xbox with out it fragin.  I also suggest putting a switch from the d0 to the mod chip so you can disable it when you have the xbox off.
