I also get the error 21 using K:1.00.5101.01 D:1.00.4920.01
Tried both with and without an audio cd. Have I missed something ?

Btw: I don't have the file "items.txt" among my PBL files. Does it matter ?

I also cannot find the "PBL1.3.5i_signed_audio_exploit" exploit at xbins. I've searched the whole ftp but it seemed not to be there.

Where can I get this exploit ?

When you unpack the Xecuter2.4979_REPACK.rar, what file do you edit with xbtool?

I used 4979.67_256k.bin.
Is this the right one to edit?
Do i save this as 256k or 1mb?

My xbox is the StarWars/Tetris pack.  I just bought it a little over a month ago.
I am also getting the "P:Biosesxboxrom.bin" error through a scrambled screen.
the scrambled screen also says something about EEPROM.

Any suggestions?

@ mtnsrfr180: since you have the "starwars/tetris pack" it almost has to be a v1.4-1.5 xbox (use the version check in the tutorial section to confirm this) these boxes use a 256k bios so thats what you have to output it as in xbtool.

now for my question: i've been trying to get the hotswap working for a whole day now. first, i couldnt get the windows hdd drive to detect the drive at all. finally, (with some help) i realized i had to do the swap faster. now, hdd driver finds the xbox harddrive. BUT, whenever i try to "insert file" the program gives me an error (which I expected from the tutorial) and it crashes! (i tried pressing retry, ignore, and abort -- all caused the driver to crash.) i have windows xp with .net installed. can anyone help me please?

It seems the PBL 1.3.5i files are rather hard to locate.

With a bit of time I located required files here "x-b-o-x DOT net "
Also they are tucked away on #XBINS FTP -> XBOX - Bios - Bios Tools....

Im going to attempt this on a mates new beast pack, using hot swap CDRW with my chipped xbox.
I hope it works. Seems a damn lot easier than using the windows hdd driver.

Good luck to everyone else.

K:1.00.5101.01 D:1.00.4920.01
I get error 21 as well...

This might help some of you, I fixed my problem :
I was using
PBL1.3.5i_signed_font_exploit.zip
instead of
PBL1.3.5i_signed_audio_exploit.zip
that was it.

I think I've got everything working correctly. To unlock the drive, I start the xbox without any cds in it. When I'm at the menu, I go to Memory then Xbox. After it shows me what's on the hard drive, I wait a couple of minutes then hot-swap it with the PC. Then I turn the PC on, load up windows, and HDD Driver finds the drive just fine.

My problem now is trying to make the "Bioses" directory for the PBL exploit... Does anyone know how to create directories within HDD Driver?

You can rename directories with HDD_Driver by right-clicking on them and selecting properties.

Also there is a program you can use for creating directories called Fat-X-Plorer.  It's also more reliable for copying files.

biggrin.gif also, you cant find out your XBOX version without opening it up. you dont need to really find out what version you have, just use the M7 bios and you will be safe smile.gif

sad.gif

The xbox boots to the dash and works perfectly fine, so I know the HDD isn't dead, but I don't know what to do really, short of removing ALL files I added in Xlinux and trying again...

Any suggestions? BTW, I know for sure the box is a 1.4/1.5 because it was bought with the Tetris Attack/Star Wars/Mech Assault bundle.

It has a kernal 5101 dash 4920 and a mfg date of October 20th, 2003.

What to do... what to do... sad.gif  ph34r.gif
