Tested on Tony Haw Underground

Still doesn't work looks like this game checks the hard bios to the softbios (the one resident in ram) - deduced since it works on hardware modded x-boxes
Well it runs just not if you save and reload your save (crashes)

THUG does not check hard bios vs. soft bios, I have run it successfully on a PBL box... It does, however, take a look at your st.db file (with the intention of allowing you to use ripped soundtracks in the game)

A few weeks ago, I was demonstrating the audio hack to a friend using my modded box, and I neglected to remove the hack afterward. At the time Tony Hawk was all I played regularly and it stopped functioning, so I became convinced that my mod had trashed my box, seeing as it wouldn't boot with the mod off and the original disc instead of an HD backup. After a few hours I sorted out the real source of the problem and deleted my st.db file, now it works fine.

If you are attempting to run THUG and you have at one point had an audio hack on your box, try deleting /e/tdata/fffe0000/music/st.db and running THUG again.

This may or may not be the problem in some other games, provided that they are soundtrack aware... during this time I also noted that Tony Hawk 4 would not play, but I didn't deal with any other of my games until I deleted my st.db.

EDIT: Just to clarify, this was the discless st.db file, so I am unclear as to whether this was a result of a cracked ST.DB in general, or because this one contained an invalid soundtrack.

I'm trying to create a menu option in evox to swap in/out PBL. I'm using Mordenkainen's audio exploit so PBL is e:/PBL/P.xbe and I've creaded two subdirectories, e:/PBL/PBL (for the PBL version of P.xbe) and e:/PBL/EVOX (For the evox version of P.xbe)

I've added this information to the evox.ini that stays in the e:/PBL directory:

Item "Rectivate PBL",@216

[Action_16]

Info "Turning ON PBL"
Warning "Turning ON PBL.. That okay?"
Progress "Turning it ON now........"
copy "e:/PBL/PBL/P.xbe" "e:/PBL/P.xbe"

As well as a similar but reversed version in the evox.ini that stays in the default dashboard directory (e:/mxm/)

The option appears in the menu just fine and when I select it it does the confirmation, displays the progress, and says OK at the end BUT the files don't get moved. Can someone clue me in as to what's wrong with my syntax?

ok only 2 games that dont work with exploits i hear you say .but last week it was only 1 !are exploiters gonna be left in the dark with new games while mod chippers scoff at our cheapness .A glimmer of hope would be to know why these games dont work with PBL

Is it a memory conflict ? if so coincidence or delibrate ?

Are The games Patching the bios before executing using exploit tricks against us ??

who knows

answers on a postcard please

as long as you have PBL installed you have the exact same powers as hardmodded xboxes do...at least you SHOULD...u don't have to sign anything with xbedump anymore...PBL is just like a mod chip that loads a bios...

the only thing we don't have is the other abilities a mod chip is the ability to just swap hard drives on the fly...and some other obvious features...

when it comes to running games...it's all the same

are you sure modchipped can play? if moddchipped can't play that means u just need to find a crack for it, i reccomend getting an ED2k program like emule or edonkey and going on the forums for sharereactor http://forum.sharereactor.com

Hello smile.gif , I'll have 2 dissagree with u on at least 1 of the mentioned tittles. I've gotten XIII to work by using PBL 1.3.5 with the new fixed 4979_bfm for font exploits.  Give it a try it worked on mine. BTW it's just a matter of time b4 the font exploit gets better or on the same level as a hard mod smile.gif.

u can learn something from everybody smile.gif.
