F0 = Red
0F = Green
FF = Orange
AA or 55 = flashing orange
5A or A5 = flash red, then green (xmas)
FA or F5 = Flashing red and orange

If you don't like messing around in Hex Editors go here and download the colours -

I found this bloody distracting too.  If you use the B&E reloaded fonts simply to load PBL 1.3, PBL can reset the LED colour/sequence to your choice (solid green for me biggrin.gif ).  All happens so quick, you don't notice the red blinking.

Edit: I've just read there are issues with PBL 1.3.5.  sad.gif    Glad I stayed with PBL 1.3 biggrin.gif

Slightly more helpfully... biggrin.gif

Bert & Ernie Reloaded:
Hex edit Ernie.xtf.  File offset 0x958459 (Original value: 0xA0) is the LED colour/sequence.  Try different values.  0xFF gives you a nice constant orange.

More info:
The byte is both the LED colour and sequence.  The LED sequence appears to be 4 quarter second intervals (don't shoot me of I'm inaccurate here).

The byte is a bit pattern of in the form:
[RG][RG]RG][RG]

Hence:
10100000 = 0xA0 = (the B&E R original value) RED LED for half a second, no LEDS for half a second.
11111111 = 0xFF = Both RED & GREEN LEDs (hence Orange) for the whole second (ie. constant orange).

So (guessing),
01010101 = 0x55 should give a constant GREEN LED.

Enjoy.

Ah. I stand corrected.

More info:
The byte is both the LED colour and sequence.  The LED sequence appears to be 4 quarter second intervals (don't shoot me of I'm inaccurate here).

The byte is a bit pattern of in the form:
[RRRR][GGGG]

Hence:
10100000 = 0xA0 = (the B&E R original value) red LED on,off,on,off, no green LED
111111111 = 0xFF = Both red & green LEDs (hence Orange) for the whole second (ie. constant orange).

So,
00001111 = 0x0F No red LED, solid green LED.

Thanks _ionic_,

Or you can just use the latest bigfonts. Just like B+E reloaded they try to set the clock when you hit a loop, making them probably equally as safe. There are no statistics on it, of course, but both have been verified to exit the loop.

Nevermind I figured it out. I now hack Bert & Ernie Reloaded Fonts - PBL 1.3.5 and NO Flashing Red LED. I Love it.

Congratulations Herculezz

In case anyone else struggled....

Don't search for anything, GOTO file offset 0x958459 (Edit menu, Goto...).  You should see byte 0xA0 if you got the offset correct.  Change 0xA0, to 0X0F for constant green LED.

Pedro.
