jester.gif. When i click evox i get error 21  sad.gif . I made two files called VMlinz (or whatever) and linuxboot.cfg, signed evox.xbe with habibi and used the mech fonts that say evox on the tab, i hex edited the evox.xbe to say TUX!L.I.N.U.X, NOW WHAT? AHHHHHHHH.

Because PBL signed for fonts won't work, whereas PBL signed for Audio will. I assumed more people would have the audio-signed version (which is used in the Audio Hack) so I put that in my tutorial.

As for the Audio Exploit thing, I was just curious to see what would happen. It resets. I just, personally, find that intresting and I was wondering why.

Thirdly, my tutorial is 100% correct and easy to follow. It takes very little time to do it and if you aren't willing to put 10 minutes into doing it then that is your problem, surely?

I got the clock loop when I just ran the MechInstaller without doing all the fixes mentioned in this thread. I haven't applied all the fixes yet, though, so I don't know if they will stop the clock loop. I'd like to think so, but my hopes aren't up.

It  makes the clock loop not so deadly.I dont think its possible to get 'stuck' in the clock loop with these. But it still resets a few times with a unset clock.

My problem is that I don't know how to get the correct font files from the posted MIME encoded stuff. Maybe the answer seems obvious to some people, but I just don't know anything about what MIME is. Could someone just give a quick explanation please?

Also responded on the other thread:

Download a MIME decoder here: http://www.miken.com/uud/

Basically, copy and paste the file into notepad and save it. Then open it up, and it will decode it to a RAR. Open the RAR and you'll find yet another MIME file. Decode that and you'll get a RAR file containing the bigfonts.

MIME is a way of encoding a file so you can post it through e-mail/usenet/a forum.

Why wouldn't font signed PBL work? From what I understand you need to resign it anyway, which destroys the original audio/font signature from the file. Has anyone actually tried the font signed Phoenix file?

XboxHakur said won't work earlier if I remember correctly. I'm not sure, but the signed Audio exploit works fine here and I'm not bothered enough to check - but feel free to test it out yourself!

BTW, I have a package ready for Xbins with all the stuff configured and ready (with a short tutorial) but I'm not sure how to upload it. I will not send it to anyone who PMs me, sorry sad.gif

If someone wants to prepare my fonts for Xbins, you're more than welcome to... but give me a little credit (and, of course, everyone else involved).    wink.gif

Nice one Nailed. Is there any chance you could do one that uses e:/feenix/default.xbe and bg.jpg for detection - already in the PBS package so it requires no filename changes - as that keeps my C drive tidier?

If not, no worries. I can see most of what you've changed but not all - I can get PBL to load but  it tries to gets it config off the P drive for some reason...

Hmm... I wouldn't know why.  I've been testing with xboxdash 4920.01.1012a700.  Only thing I haven't tested is a clock loop.

thanks for the heads up on the reason for using audio PBL

like i say i already use fonts with PBL 1.3.5.i  so i dont need to do this im just wondering if the mechinstaller might give me a little more leway when trying to play cimson skies but since it still uses fonts and pbl ,, well,, i dont think its going to work.

im still hoping to see someone fully hack the xbox dash so there is no need for evox . and use a bios with ftp in the bios..

so that is there is any detection methods with the new games looking ofr softmods,, well,, it just got harder for THEM not us.
