I dunno about you guys, but every time my xbox gets into the loop...which has been at least 25-30 times...I plug it into my router (which has dmz) enabled, I fire up my xbox...when the big green ball appears...and just as it starts to go away, i hold in both analog sticks...then tap the triggers simultaneously, and between 5-10 reboots its always gotten me out of the loop...never had to hotswap or anything...ever.  ITs always seemed to work for me...well goodluck guys.

to find/mount yer xbox HD in xlinux:

ls /dev/hd*

will give you a list like this:
/dev/hda50 /dev/hda51 /dev/hda52 /dev/hda53...
/dev/hdb
/dev/hdc
/dev/hdd

so whatever drive you see that has those special partitions (50-54 i believe)
so if your xbox drive is on your primary master your mount would be:

mount -t fatx /dev/hda51 /xbox

or if your were on he secondary master your mount would be:

mount -t fatx /dev/hdc51 /xbox

if you're not seeing any drives with special partitions when you do ls /dev/hd* then odds are your drive is either not being found or not unlocked, try the hotswap/unlocking method of your choice again...

hope this helps.

oh yeah i should include, to mount say for example your cdrom use this:

if its on yer secondary master:

mount /dev/hdc /cdrom

or primary master:

mount /dev/hda /cdrom

or primary slave:

mount /dev/hdb /cdrom

and so on...

I have an even easier fix for those of you stuck in a loop. contrary to popular belief, the loop is not never ending. the font will get out of the loop itself if you let it.  So if you find your xbox looping, go ahead let it loop, it might take anywhere from 15 mins or it might take a couple of hour. just be patient and let it loop. it will eventually come out of that loop.

for "the usual places"?

Then you don't know how to use them... Go look on the main site(not the forum) and look for the tut on xbins!

XLinux IS legal....... They just needed a place to put it so "the usual places" seemsed to be the best choice.
