Windows Doesnt Detect My Drive!

I want to try xlinux but how do u make a backup with it ?
Is this possible to mount a ntfs drive to write the backup file and to get
all the phoenix files.

Has anyone got an idea why this damn hdd seem not to unlock or relock ?
Note : my Xbox is a fresh one bought yesterday, does i need to play with it (i don't have bought any game for the moment), the only thing i have done is copying and audio track
on the hdd.

Try using a game cd, I fired up Splinter Cell, paused it, fired up my pc paused before ide detection, did the swap, worked like a charm

Ya I Tried The HDD Swap Trick Yesterday And It Detected My HDD First Shot But As I Was Backing Up My HDD It SAys Don't Minimize Well I Went Upstairs And My Bro Used The Pc To Play Games And SHit ANd Then My PC Blue Screened On me And It Didnt Get TO BAckup. And When I Try The HDD Swap Again It Won't Detect It Anymore And I Think I Fried My Cd-Burner Cuz It Doesnt Show Up ANymore In Device Manager Or In My COmputer!

do this, unplug the DVD drive and wait for the service error 12 to appears. hotswap the hdd, (just IDE cable, never take power off). that should unlock the hdd.

btw, check how the bios recognize the hdd Its ST310014A?? or its QT110014A??
