hahahaha

first u have to open the xbox, to remove the HDD..And places like Bestbuy and CompUSA won't accept any open/tampered xbox's.... tongue.gif
***********************************************************************
U would be able to fix ur HDD if u had a backup of ur HDD..And for downloading one it's about 7-10 Gb an image.If HDD-driver did not work for u then how did u add the exploit..U should of tried the audio exploits.
***********************************************************************
Tell a friend to let u use his HDD to make a Backup.

I don't know about you guys, but my xbox image is only 450mb. i usex winhex with compression-feature. Ok, i have never restored the hdd with it, but im quite sure it would work. The first time i tried backing it up i didn't use compression and the image was over 9gb, so i thought why not doing it with compression, and it became around 20 times smaller smile.gif  Isn't there a compression-feature in hdd_driver?

I've got two questions;

1. I'm going to use some of the exploits, not sure which yet though. If i keep my original hdd, and install a new hdd, can i ALWAYS go back to the original drive if something happens during the exploit-installation(or sometimes after, say i get an annoying loop problem). Or can something happen permanently that makes it impossible to go back to the original hdd?? can i always make sure i'm on the "safe-line"?

2. if i install some of these exploits on a "new" drive(old really 20 gb, but i'm using it too see if i will get the exploits to work, and if it works i'll buy a big hdd) can i run it in the xbox as it is(unlocked), or do i have to lock it to make it work??

PLEASE ANSWER BOTH QUESTIONS!!(or i will have to re-ask them which destroys the threads)

yeah i have the same problem as lcf2003, i put the font exploits on the box and it won't boot, so is there any way to get the drive unlocked if i don't have the password? the xbox endlessly reboots so i don't think i can hot swap it(which i have done before).

Hey when u backup ur HDD to ur PC.Did u all ready have a [backup] dir in the system partition????That happen to me too.When i was trying to install the fonts hack to one of my friends xbox.It was a version 1.3 B:5101 i think.But that was when the first font exploit came out.I inserted 007 Agent Under Fire and it booted fine then i hot swap.But instead of restoring is dash back to normal.I use my backup image[1.0] KB:4034 and restored my SYSTEM partiton to his and it work fine afther that.{Reloaded fontsPbl:evox}

update:Hey do u have a friend that can let u his chip. If so download "eeprom dumper" and run it in order to get ur ur eeprom info.It will display it on ur TV screen.

If you do the Wal-Mart swap trick, be sure to keep a Samsung drive in the one you keep if you get one!

This happend to me yesterday when I tried to use the swap trick to put evox on... I didn't copy a file over; and it kept re-booting.
I used the method where you take the power out of the DVD Drive; and then hot swap... it worked great. It unlocked the hard drive for me.
I was then able to put evox on perfectly; and now everything works great.

Thanks for posting about that DVD Method... much appreciated.

The dvd trick to unlock the hdd (error 12) work for me too, but needed to the msdash from my hdd drive backup, I did the restore, but now it seems like my hdd bios changes, now its QT114400A insted of ST31***

did someone now about this?
