i saw a post saying you have a old mod chip if this is the case you dont need to use the audio hack just use phoenix as a app with your mod chip or turn your mod chip off if you want to use the st.db hack

QUOTE
look on the left for the 108 line and replace it like this
FROM/0000FF12642101008D8566010000508D855201000050
TO /9090FF15642101008D8566010000508D855201000050
does not exist in the copy of audio_track_exploit.zip I downloaded from xbins.

Instead I have this:
00 00 FF 15 64 21 01 00 8D 85 66 01 00 00 50 8D 85 52 01 00 00 50

The other 3 strings did come up without incident however.  I haven't tried modifying this wrong line to the value given as it seems like if I'm somehow dealing with a different file that could be disastrous.

update for v1.4 and v1.5

for v1.4 and 1.5 you need to use the m7.bfm or 4979.bfm
these will not work with phoenix 1.3 you need phoenix1.3.5 from xbins also your find the phoenix screen will be a mess but as soon as the bios loads it will sort it out.

Has anyone actually used this tutorial?

This line:

since i made this tutorial xbins has custom st.db files already setup like the swap less audio hack these may have a different string but you wont need to hex edit any of these

this tutorial was for the first hacked st.db file which was the linux only st.db and the code was to let the st.db use more then just linux

so if you download any new st.db file from xbins you wont need to change anything they are already hacked smile.gif

I installed the Phoenix with audio hack. Whenever I activate the audio hack my xbox starts flashing green and yellow. It works perfectly but I was just wondering if there is anything wrong or is it supposed to do that? Anyone else have this happen to them?
