Easy Phoenix Install - Goes Gui!
« Reply #30 on: August 01, 2003, 07:17:00 PM »

As of right now I don't expect it to be finished for atleast another week.  Coding moves rather slow lately since work's been so busy and just this morning my little girl seems to be having problems holding her food down.    sad.gif  So coding seems to only happen late at night and by then very little gets done each night.

I will try to get it out ASAP though.

Here's my critiques:
1) Shouldn't there be a space to put the eeprom key?
2) It should say what fonts it installs (reloaded, bigfonts, etc)
3) It should make clear if the IGR is for Evox or the Xecuter 2 4977 IGR.

That's all I see at this point.  Good job!  Even though I don't really see why it's needed becuase it's very simple already to install the hacks.  beerchug.gif

I know a lot of people would like to have an auto-installer for Xbox Media Player to dashboard on unmodded Xbox wink.gif

looks great wooger...
could it be used to upgrade easily whenever a new version of pbl comes aropund, or is this intended only for virgin xboxes?
i presume this thing automatically  signs the default.xbe for whatever hack ure using?

Yes I plan on building into the app a method of detecting what version of exploits you are running and comparing it to a "database" if you will of all known exploit and offering you an option of what to do basicly.

Also yes i plan on having it sign the xbe to whatever exploit choosen..

P.S.  Once again more functionality that has come up since the post  wink.gif

Answere's include:

1)  I have dabled with this idea but since there is only a couple eeprom keys at the moment I may just automatically put the eeprom keys in depending on the type of box it detects (or both for that matter).  But you may see an "EEProm Key" below the RC4Key Area.

2) As described in a later post there will be options on which version of what exploit to install and recommendations on each one.

3)  The IGR Setting is under the "Evolution-X" Area of the app.  Meaning it is the Evox's IGR.  Not all bios that "MAY" be included in the release have the IGR built into them.  If need be I might try to make this clearer but at minimum there will be a small mouseover popup that describes what it is.

Hope this helps,

Application installation is on the list of things to do but I doubt will be in the initial release.
As for right now the only option for any type of applications are to create an "Apps", "Emulators" and "Games" folder to were Evox will look for them.

Mr.Big

Thank you very much.... she seems to be able to hold down pedialite... so she isnt getting dehydrated... and  shes been on the stuff for over a day now.  The doctor said after a day swing her back to regular similac.    Hopefully she will hold the stuff down which will make me and my wife very happy.

If you would like to take a look at her goto:

(Site moves a bit slow do to current bandwidth utilization and  limitations, Also its been awhile since I updated it but she's still only 4 months so its mainly up to date)

one more thing you *could* include;
when i first started using pbl with bigfonts i had some boot problems (had to power on and off several times to get pbl to boot, and i couldnt use evox' softreboot either).
In the end it turned out that the problem had something to do with the old dash i had and the fact that my C disk didnt have a Fonts folder.
Updating with live (witch restructured my c disk and upgraded my dash) and then reinstalling pbl solved my boot problems.
I heard that Slayers auto-evoxinstaller can do something similar, (rebuilding your c disk so that it has a fonts folder and a new dash etc)
Maybe you could include an option for people with real old xboxes like mine to rebuild the c disk and upgrade the dash while installing pbl and the fonts. (tho i guess that would make the file considerably bigger)

as of yet, no, the hack cant be entirely contained on the audio cd, because it is the playlist file that needs to be changed, not one of the audio files...
yea she is cute smile.gif
and i also volunteer my xbox for beta testing, i would take all responsibility for damages and all that...
