My Xbox entered into the clock issue and is rebooting wildly...and when it finally stops it says my Xbox needs service..
I cant boot a game or anything...I need to do the hot swap so I can restore it with HDD
Please if anyone knows how can I unlock my HD so I could restore help me

Everything was OK until this..

im sorry your box is messed up you can open the box then turn it on then unplug the IDE cable as the intro is loading and it should be unlocked but you most likely need a mod installed (solder or no solder) and load up a EvoX Boot Disc and remove the font exploits and EvoX but thats if your willing what error code does it give you?

It shows error 21

I just want to know if it can be unlocked through that error by waiting 10 mins or if there is no way

Does anyone knows any other ways to unlock the Xbox HD without booting MS dashboard?

i think if it has error 21 at startup your box is dead but you can try holding the eject/reboot button while its loading

Im stuck in the loop cycle...and after a while it shows error 21..
Im just wondering if there is anyway to unlock the HDD..I have got a restore image

to accually fix it you need to install a mod-chip (e.g. Matrix No Solder, Or Xecuter 2.2 Pro Solder) that supports unsigned code, and make a EvoX Boot Disc (Tuts On the scene) and stick the boot disc after you have the chip installed and wait till it loads EvoX Then FTP and remove the font exploits.....or you have to send it off to some1 reliable to get it fixed...theres no known way to unlock the HD while its looping sry

P.S. You Hold Down The Eject/Reboot Button To Take It Out Of The Loop

But can I still run an original game even if the Dash is messed..if I could do that maybe I could also unlock it..

hddswap would work, I think i remember hearing if you load a game ur hd gets unlocked, so that's something to try...

the other way would be to install a modchip, and boot up a cd with evox...

I used to Hot Swap by loading a game..but I cant load any anymore

If what PanterA said in his thread is true then I might be able to do the Swap without loading the MS dashboard..
I just hope it works..

Also, if you have the hdd pass from an evox backup, you can open ur box, take out the hd, plug it in ur pc, unlock it, fix everything, relock..

I really need to fix this since I cant get a MOD where I live

..and I wouldnt like buying a new Xbox since this one is new and intact..

OMG PanterA was right!
You can still Hot Swap the HDD even if your Xbox doesnt load the DASH or Games...

I just restored my HDD and voila!

and i have the pass for my HD but how do i unlock it with it? is there a tut for if you do have your HD key?

using programs such as hdunlock in dos.
check tools area of xbox-scene.com to get the util.
