By the contents of the archive but I recommend you just look for the file from the tutorial.  That way you know it's signed smile.gif

sivlem it all depends on what ernie and bert files you use but I THINK that it the ones I gave the link for they do NOT flash.  I can't be positive ATM though without going to checkout my X-Box.

i think its a bug that only affects certain xboxversions
i have a
v1
k 4034
d 4034
bigfonts + phoenixloader updated with latest evoxversion
and i can always select the run dvd thingie right away

on the other hand i have been experiencing that phoenix loader doesnt boot everytime, i sometimes habe to power on and off a few times
font-related aswell?

What a bullshit. Bigfonts and Reloaded have no code at all to authenticate
the DVD drive.

my friend has

K: 4034
D: 4920

using  bert-ernie-big-font-green-light and complete signed phoenix bios loader

he can't select RUN DVD GAME...so he uses the EVOX option of AUTOLAUNCHDVD: YES

if he wants to rip a game he can just set it to know..but he will hardly ever do that..so its no big deal...

just an error that would be nice to have fixed

Perhaps since you ARE calling this a newbie tutorial, you can have the option of doing this with AND WITHOUT having access to a modded XBOX. I would guess most noobs do not have both. Perhaps add the info on using the hot swap trick as an option.

Perhaps since most noobs DO NOT have access to a modded XBOX, you coul;d add option 3:

OPTION 1:
- Modified X-Box (with a modchip)
- X-Box Memory Unit (memory card)

OPTION 2:
- Action Replay
OR
- Converted Memory Card (see link in USEFUL LINKS section)

OPTION 3:
PC and HDD Loader
(hotswap trick)

QUOTE
In english it is a utility you can install on your X-Box that allows you to do anything you would normally be able to do with a Mod-Chip without installing one.

So does this mean that the system won't reset on eject, the DVD remote is functional, and one is able to access the original MS dash?
