Find an xboxdash.xbe file somewhere and ftp it back into the C directory using your mech assult.  Easy! I just wonder if it is nessesary to have one for the correct dash version.

Also, be sure to leave you xbox plugged in.  If the time resets, you will be royally screwed since there is no dash to set the clock with.

That is what happened to me KRAKEN, I, not really thinking, unplugged the xbox when I had that problem and now I can't boot up, now I have to get a modchip and fix this whole mess with slayers install.

Before I get a mod though, is there any way to fix this without a mod ?

or leave the 007/mech assult game in the drive and let it boot then and you can FTP to ur xbox by loading the original savegame, it should still be there, good luck

no you can't cus you won't be able to get access to the old HDD seeing that you can't unlock it..Alot of plz are messing up their xbox cuz of this problem. The best solution is to load up evox before you mess any thing up and select "backup" and then ftp and copy over the "backup" folder...open and print HDD key. So if you can't boot into HDD, then just use key to unlock it and then restore backup..You always have to think ahead no matter what you are goin to do...Sorry this won't help you..

connect it to a network, it will boot after 2 times resetting, or plug it into your pc using a crossover cable, this gives it time to reboot, because it pauses when it sees the networkcable connected, and the clock resets

this works 100%
