if you got an original hard drive you dont have an f: ....if its not orig then i guess you need to read some tutorials

you need to change the config file to say no to f: if it is orignal

No no no....

This is what you do....

To Add the F: Drive to your XBox for storage:
01. Copy Save Games to "UDATA" folder on the XBox's E Drive [If Not Already There]
02. Boot 007 and Load Save game from Hard Disk [This should bring up Evox Dash]
03. Open your FTP Program and send the raw command "Formatpath DeviceHarddisk0Partition6"
04. This will return a FormatKey [Write this key down]
05. Send the raw command "FormatDrive {FormatKey}"
06. Go under System Utils then Settings in the Evox Dash Board and you should now have a number beside the F: Drive Size

Like I said earlier.... to do the f drive format you have to boot into evox and run those commands.... You can not issue's those commands in Loader-Complex.... once you have the F drive showing space in evox then reboot the xbox into loader and you should be able to use it.

I too am haveing problems getting f: working.

evox3572  4829/5101
Bigfontz
unmodded box.
Seagate 80gb.

All other drives are fine.

When this drive is unlocked and put in a modded xbox f: drive werks fine.

But when in my xbox f: drive shows 0 space in the settings and some very large amount thru an FTP client.
I have tried the evox.ini format thing..... didn't work.  (the process appeared to work with no errors)
I have tried the raw ftp command method... didn't work.  (the process appeared to work with no errors)

I'm at the end of my tether!

A locked HDD with the MS BIOS active will not even recognize an F partition.  That is the nature of the BIOS.

Every stock hard drive has an F partition.  It's just that it is not formatted by default. And it is negligibly small on an 8GB HDD.

FTP shows the partition size.  EvoX shows free space.  Since it is not formatted, there is no space available.  Formatting it should make both your FTP client and EvoX display the same value.

That's my point.... I HAVE formatted it!

Seemingly successfully via format commands in the evox.ini and through raw ftp cammands.... both methods report that it is formatted successfully...and have proven this by putting the hdd in a chip modded box and I see f: and it's contents!

My soft-modded box doesn't seem to see the contents of f: at all.

Proceed with caution... I used the 007 hack with the audio exploit and Pheonix and I used the code in the tutorial at http://www.xbox-scene.com  and it deleted my whole hard drive.  I still don't know why... but just know that there is a risk.

Any help with f: drive problem appreciated...

Maybe its a 4920/5101 issue.

Lightside - aparrently yes.... but some people report success and some report failure... I think it's kernal/bios dependant.
