my friend has an unmodded box  and he is interested in having the  hard drive upgraded and using evox as his dashboard, he does not want a mod chip though. are there any step by step  guides to doing this?
thanks for any help

Are... you... kidding me?  Did you read the pinned post at the top of this forum?  It tells you EXACTLY how to get the files onto your xbox using the HDD swap trick.

Let me put this simply:

If you want to mod your xbox without a chip, you must do the HDD swap or use an Action Replay.
