Look

Do not d/l HDD Driver DLL`S unless you want to make a Xbox backup..
All your xlinux steps are fine except for this one

paused pc before bios ide read

You gotta pause AFTER the IDE Detection..the Swap and press enter.

thank xil,

i tried that several times and was finally able to get xlinux to boot.  i guess my mobo is just touchy.  i followed your stuff on other threads and those helped out a lot too.  thanx for the advice.

a word for anyone out there having trouble with the swap trick, when they say fast, the mean fast!  the two times i was able to do it i noticed that it literally was in and out right away.  i suggest edging the xbox ide out to a point where a good pull will bring the entire end of the cable out in one smooth motion.
