Ejectin' And Resetin'...
« on: July 14, 2003, 08:32:00 PM »

I have EvoX running on my V 1 Xbox (4034) all working fine and everything, I used the 'Bert is Cheating on Earnie' hack and the HD hot swap trick (pain in the ass).  I can run apps just fine.  And I can even backup games using boXplorer and Xcommander.  In fact, everything's perfect... except one thing.

How can I stop the evil thing from reseting when I push the eject button?  Preferably not using !Loader.  I tried using the MOD3.DLL patch with !Loader 1.00 and it recognized it and everything and said this patch supports new features.  Then I even set !Loader to autoboot to EvoX.  But the eject button still caused it to reset... sad.gif

Is there another way to do it?

 Thanks in advanced.

Nope.  Actually Reloaded didn't do anything to my Xbox... not even reset the date to July 4th.  It just took up a little more space.  Crappy movie = Crappy exploit  tongue.gif

 Anyone have any other suggestions?

According to what I gathered from this thread ( http://forums.xbox-s...ST&f=45&t=76957 ), some may disagree.

Anyways, any more pearls of wisdom from anyone?

Strange... what version is your Xbox?  Are you using !Loader?  With what patches?

dude....if you have 4034 kernel you should have no problem...get the 4920 dash too

Bert and ernie reloaded files go into c:/fonts as bert.xtf and ernie.xtf (rename the original xbox.xtf files and xbox book.xtf files to xtf.safe or something)

then put the default.xbe and evox.ini file from Bert is cheating on ernie on the C: drive of your xbox (in the root c:)

the reboot..TIME is SET! and EJECT does NOT NOT NOT reboot the xbox...unlesss you have done something wrong...this works...I have done 3 xbox's this way..they all work fine...

Weird.  I have Kernel 4034 and Dashboard 4290 with Reloaded and the same default.xbe and evox.ini that came with Cheating.

The only explanation is that I did that MS Dash trick to let me access the original dash (It's stickied on this board).  Maybe that is messing this up?

I've use every Complex config I could think of as well.  I'll try reversing the Original Dash trick.

I have a 4034 with the bert and ernie exploit working no prob.  Eject button doesnt reset the unit?  What dash are you running again?  The reset upon eject is a feature of the dash.

Right now I'm using Reloaded with Free-X EvoX.  I also tried it with BICOE and Free-X EvoX.
