I've managed to get the bios and XP to recognise the HDD, but when I run the hdd driver program absolutly NOTHING happens.

It's always done this. Even before I did the hot swap.

I downloaded all the VB runtine files from the MS download site and still no change.

Try under Win2k without installing .NET frame network just the dll missing...
It should be work...

So try to execute it with the Win2k mode compatibility
> Right Click
> Properties
> Compatibility
And check the box named "Execute this program bla bla bla..." < I'm not this is exactly the same thing (i have the french version) and put it on Windows 2000...
If it doesn't work, install Windows 2000...

hdd driver is absolute crap. use xlinux boot cd which has built in fatx support.

it makes the swap trick a breeze.

even if you get hdd driver to recognize your HD thats only HALF the problem, the rest of the programs BUGS are yet to be brought out...

You guys are full of Sh*t. Hdd driver never found my HD until I hot swapped using the pause break method Solves everything,.
