Anyone Successfully Opened An Xbox W/o Torx?
« on: July 13, 2003, 11:29:00 AM »

I think that the easiest solution is to buy (or ask a friend) 2 torx screwdrivers.

Again, it's just my opinion...

Maybe try to find a normal "flat" (dunno if it's the right word in English) screwdriver that will fit in the screw.

Don't you have one of these red thingies with a lot of screwdrivers in it? If you have one just use a torx one, and try...

yeah, try a small flat screwdriver and see if you can open it with one of those...
also, when you did the pen thing, did you let it dry good and solid?
and did you jam it down hard?

there should be a screwdriver somewhere that will fit it tho

well, if it fits, cool...
btw, when you sand it down youre probably going to take the metal coating off of it(a lot of them are made of black shit and coated in chromeis stuff)

be careful because if its nto soild shiny metal down there itll rust like crazy

Wow, all this seems like a lot of trouble so you don't have to spend a measly $2....

cool brandon....
im running unsigned xbe's off my hard drive and i didnt have to open my xbox at all biggrin.gif

I'm not fortunate enough to own AUF, Action Replay, or Mega-X, so opening it was a must.
