Well It is quite impossible to totally fuck up your box with
the software hack. Maybe you cannot do it without opening
it when you totally screwed your dashboard. But you can
always hot swap the harddisk and repair the content.

If you lack a backup the thing gets more difficult but it
still possible if you can get a backup from another person
(this is more or less illegal... Infact I do not know what a
judge would say about it, because you have the right to
have a copy... but not the right to take the copy from
another person)

Its fucking terrible.  I did the hot swap, but my haddrive made a noise before I connected it to my IDE cable.  Now it isn't being unlocked and I can't get to my dashboard or load an original game!!! Any help would be appreciated.
