When you loaded Bert and Snuffy, did you use Complex Loader? When you use Complex Loader, you don't have sign anything.

nope my initial exploit is the evox that came with the bert is cheating on ernie exploit .. after that i overwrote them with the reloaded exploit

I have had the exact same problem when using ernie and bert reloaded - boots up fine but any apps/emus I run I get error 21 - but if I use bert is cheating on ernie I have no problems at all everything runs fine and I have not got the fonts folder in C: drive either.

If you sign the apps with xbedump they will boot up just fine with the reloaded fonts. But it is when you exit the programs the trouble starts...
