ok heres the prob
this has nothin to do with modchip -.-
this morning i tried to start up my xbox and when i plugged it in it started tp make a sizzle sound =/
im like WTF?

well im not ur everyday idiot im ur super idiot
so i go an try to turn it on an it sizzles a lil and turns off
well wenever it makes a sizzle noise it flashs a lil (were the plug is on the back it sizzles) and it doesnt actully smoke but it smells like a capgun went off

i doubt anyone can help but plz try
i got little fags running around hte house so they mighta done somthing
theres nothin stuck in there i checked
help plz

Is your xbox near a source of moisture?

The only real thing I can think of is your xbox got wet in the back where it's flashing.

If you keep trying to turn it on, and if you can SMELL IT FRYING, you will destroy the machine, if it's not destroyed already.

Can you tell where the sizzling sound is coming from?
You power supply might have blown.

its not near a source of moisture it was in a suitcase for the last week and my little (3yr =/) brother grabbed it an ran to me an said i wanna play super mario!! -.-
i assume that he did somthing to it wen i wasnt looking

mine does that when its not plugged in properly, which is most of the time cus the bastard cord doesnt fit right, but if it only started doin it recently, then yea blame the bro. smile.gif

well it just started doin it today and it sizzles alot and i used 2 different cords -.-
including the original

The problem is most probably the socket  in the xbox where the AC cord plugs in. Take out the Power Supply and resolder the two pins of the input socket underneath the Power Supply.
Hope it sorts it for you.

cool.gif  smart thinking man , i had the same problem and that fixed it. also theres no need to add solder , just melt where is loose so the solder that is on the board can join the one on the pin.  smile.gif


edit : WARNING!! , dont trust the PSU , even if is unplugged it still haves a lot of energy inside. so dont touch it too much.

edit#2 : sorry , didnt know you were grounded , i hope you read this.

i derno what the power supply an all that stuff looks like but i assume ill know what it is when i open it up xD
if any1 might have a tutorial for this that would be nice
if not u say its easy so im sure it is xD
o if i didnt say it be4 i called the fags at xbox-formy1900 or w,.e and they said they dont know whats wrong with it but for 95$ they would fix it -.-....and they say that hte saved games will be deleted....and everything on it will be gone...
so basically they will send me a "Refurbished" one for 95$ =/ screw that ill just do what u guys said
