Help Me Please! Exploits Gone Wild!
« on: July 12, 2003, 11:00:00 AM »

Okay i was using the Bert and Ernie on my V1.0 Xbox running the 3944 original BIOS. I had Evox up and running perfect(Evox and Evox only, hadn't gotten round to installing Apps yet) and then i decided to turn it off for a while. Well to my suprise when i turned it on the next morning i was stuck in the loophole of death.

So me and my buddy proceeded to try to reboot it a few more times, then the fear set in. We then tried to do everything we could possibly think of to right this horrible wrong.

            INCLUDING
  Starting up with AUF
(so we could ftp this shit off there)ha, nice try
  Then we tried it again
Then we tried swapping HDD with our Xbox's
(but the dumbasses we are didnt unlock them)
   Then we tried hot-swapping it
Then we tried straight hookin it up to the pc, and seeing if anything could possibly read it, nope
We  tried just booting it up again, ya right

Does anyone else have any ideas?

P.S. I'm not whining and moaning, i have already went and bought a new xbox, but i would just really like to get this one back up and running, so that i could either sell it and recoop some money or to try a modchip on it.

         Thanx

Did you manage to get a backup using evox on to your PC before it screwed, If you've got a copy of the hddinfo.txt file you can work out what the unlock code is for the HDD, then use hdunlock and hddisabl and hook it up to your pc.

does loophole of death mean the endless reset loop from the clock?  If so, just let the box cycle.  Chances are it will fire into evox within an hour.

I had the same problem earlier.

I managed to get to the dash by "fighting" with the Xbox's eject button.  Basically, the LED was flashing the whole time, and while I kept trying to keep the tray open, it suddenly went red and brought me into Evox.
