CODE
bForceSetClock = false;

thinking about it, we'd get an error on the changed Dash for loading it before the exploit has kicked in.

I figure Evo ini wouldnt fix it because the first thing to load is the original dash so its going to goto clock settings before evox.  The Audio exploit wouldnt cause this problem, would it? Since you can enter the dash.

Dunny,

I'm not sure what all that xap stuff means, but it sounds like a good idea LOL!

And I'm not sure about the Audio xploit... Would like to know though.

Correct, it won't work.

The XAP is signed, and you can't alter the XAP without patching the xboxdash.xbe file, whichmeans it's no longer signed, and will no longer run inthe xbox at all (no exploits will even run)

I am reserving some very harsh words for you at the moment, I will refrain from repeating them here and instead RE-EXPLAIN THE ISSUE, kornkob69 (what kind of name is that, anyway??)

You cannot "run" anything but the ORIGINAL, UNPATCHED xboxdash.xbe file when the time loop is happening. Nothing else will run - not EvoX, not a modified XBOXDASH, not A.N.Y.T.H.I.N.G. Comprende?

How many times must it be repeated before people grasp the simple, honest truth?

yeah but if we set up the modified dash to have modified time check it would loop like this and should work fine...

-original dash boot
-font exploit executes
-evoX... time sucks go to ms dash(modified)
-modified dash checks for time needing to be set, boolean flag set to dont force set
-reboot manually
-original dash/exploit
-evoX...time is fine

sounds correct to me, if u can read it the way im thinking lol

edit: i didnt see ur other post when i made this.... it depends on how the xbox needs to check for time, wether it loads fonts b4 or after.... if it checks time after loading fonts my method might work, if it checks time b4 hand then no it wouldnt.

now as for the name its an old stupid thing i came up with when i used to really like the band Korn and it stuck as a temp name i use for misc signups.... but if we want to get into name calling, whats urs? who has two first names honestly...

BenJeremy: Have you been able to confirm that the Kernel wont load any xbe and will always jump to the dash while the clock isnt set?

I know its a reasonable hypothesis and i shared that view until recently but have you managed to check it out yet?
