I think this post needs to be deleted because its just a big flame war. Whats wrong with Lostdesigns warning people that it isn't a 100% safe thing?

thank you very much...

we did say that, except that the possibility isn't very big as long as the conditions laid out in the instructions are met and the modder follows those instructions.  as for the bein sorry for your screwing up, it isnt necessary but it is good etiquette.

only four people flamed you, myself included, and we all did so in response to your flaming.  that being said you brought it upon yourself the instant you flipped out at the first reply you received (although i will admit that the poster who said that was a bit rude).  as for the coolness statement, its doubtful that any social status is going to be gained by saying anything at all here considering not very many people here who know each other in the outside world and that modding at this level is a bit too underground for any noticeable social circles to dabble in it.

if your going to resort to insulting me in a manner that has absolutely nothing to do with the topic at hand, at least make insult marginally intelligent and feasible.

it isnt about either one ruling the other or having priority.  they each have their own strengths and weaknesses.  the whole reason either method is even pursued in the first place is simply to provide variety to those who are inclined to take advantage of the systems potential uses.  some will be more inclined to take a software route, while others will go for the hardware.  i believe the phrase generally used in this situation is "to each his own."

... this is old... you need a life man, seriously. Please don't talk down to me like you are somehow superior, because you are far far from it... and my insults make a whole hell of a lot of sense to people who don't have sticks shoved up there asses like yourself. so please drop it and go do something productive.

No, leave the post. It's got entertainment value at least...

Lostdesigns, I also believe that there is nothing wrong with you warning people about using the exploit, however...

Modchips aren't always the perfect answer...   I mean I have installed an x2pro in April, and I love it, but its not like I just put it in there and poof... perfect working evox, games, and apps.  I have never tried any of the exploits, and I really dont have need to with a mod chip already installed, but it still took a lot of trial and error and also research into many different websites, forums and tutorials.  I thought I might have totally fucked up my xbox a couple of times, but searching the tutorials and forums and actually doing some research, I was able to get it working right.

I know I dont have a vast number of posts, but most of mine were questions I asked in the forums, this one and others, trying to figure out why the mod I did was not working, or trying to help someone else who had the same proplem I had recently had.  I admit to being closer to a n00b than a modding master, as I still fine tune and refine my xbox modding all the time, but hey that's part of the fun (for me anyway).

Now I hope no one takes this as a flame on anyone, this post was not meant to be one.  It is just to point out that using a mod chip also takes lots of patience (especially if you've never done one or have any help from someone that has).  You cant just try stuff for the first time and get it to work snag free in just 30 mins.  If you do, you're either very talented or extremely lucky.  If you have problems, that's what these boards are for.  Chances are there is already a thread by someone else with the same problem.  If not, ask politely and someone is sure to offer help, or at least point you in the right direction.  Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems more research on your part could have solved your problem.  It is possible a mod chip will NOT fix your problem.  You may install it and still get an error 13.  I hope that is not the case, but it is possible.  Anyway, good luck however you decide to resolve your problem.
