Complex !loader With A Mod Chip?
« on: July 10, 2003, 03:26:00 AM »

I'm using an enigmah modchip and am interested in doing this too.  In one of phoenix's nfos it actually says
- F: Upgrade (means large HDD can now be used by Enigmah & Xecuter modchip owners too).

but they don't have any mention of how to get it working.  I've played around with it but can't think of any way to test if i've done it successfully before trying a bigger hard drive. The only test i could think of was to see if the reset-on-eject hack worked, but it doesn't. But other people seem to have problems with this hack anyway, so i don't think that proves anything.

I can confirm the latest 1.1 Complex !Loader has a working reset on eject hack!

In theory !Loader should work with your enigmah to give you drive F: support seeing as how enigmah only patches your original 4034.  Both Complex and Phoenix methods work the same at the end of the day so what applies to one should apply to the other.

so we enigmah users should just use the normal install steps and then we can change the harddrive?

As long as your booting 4034 and you still boot the original MS Dash,
you should be able to just copy the fonts in, copy the !loader dir
to c, and copy default.xbe on root of the c drive
