Actually i was thinking, and its people like you that ruin the scene. Newbs just want thier shit to work. You want to put other people down, for no apparent reason other than they are new. So i guess you kill babys  ph34r.gif ?

Yep, it's dickwads like him that piss me off.  Especially when some prick like him calls me a n00b because I don't know something, what the fuck, was he BORN with the knowledge?  He's just showing how much of a n00b he is...

And it really pisses me off when fuckwads say, "If you have to ask what this is, you don't need to know."  Fuck you and your high fucking horse.  You have no idea who I am or what I know, if you don't want to answer, shut the fuck up.

Wow... I guess I got my "fuck quota" met...  Well anyways, EVERYONE was new once, it's called ignorance, nothing wrong with that.  It's when you CAN'T learn that it becomes a problem, that's called stupidity.

the scene has become so diluted, the large influx of n00bs (those who don't know how to read) being the primary reason. I must say the level of intelligence of this dashboard forum has dropped since the xploit release.

Now you just see nobrainer posts everwhere, it's too bad.. You know why?

Because IT'S the intelligent posts that lead us to development! and you can't deny it

I hope mods clean house soon

i agree with him 110%

this influx of people who dont read the tutorials, dont know how to use the search function is far worse than when the matrix was released, or those god damn TechTV shows on xbox modding.  Id be willing to bet not one of you self proclaimed n00bs understands a fraction of history of the scene, or the issues surrounding this exploit.

And XVegitto, look around the forums, i think you will see the 'card' isnt just him show that he is not a 'n00b'

He hasnt said anything because he was leaving when he reached his 666th post which he has done  tongue.gif

And i dont think its newbies in whole he was bashing, just those that start a new thread about somehting that was explained in another thread only started 5 mins beforehand. Its the newbies that dont search or read the forums before posting that pisses everyone off, they want it all on a plate like we owe them something, when it could have been solved with just a quick 5min search.

Newbies (in moderation ofcourse) are good for the scene, its just the arrogant "i want it now and i want it my way" newbies that arnt welcome. Im sure you all know the type i mean  rolleyes.gif

Being of little knowledge is different than being ignorant.  When you don't know something, you can learn it.  Nobody has a problem with this.  When you are ignorant, you make NO effort to learn.  THIS is what pisses everyone off.

All you people who think "everyone was a newb once" need to know that this is true, but not everyone was lazy.  If you post a question that has been addressed ad nauseam, you should expect to be flamed!  If you act upset or surprised when someone flames you, you should be flamed SOME MORE.

I'd LOVE to require a quiz before users could register.  We have had roughly 300 people register in the past few days; they would likely just hammer away at the quiz before they got it right.  So, unfortunately, this wouldn't be feasible.

It is annoying to see post after post asking the same questions and newbie's (I speak english here not some psuedo uber-elite language made of letters and numbers which wasn't cool 20+ years ago when only real porgramers spoke like it rather than a bunch of teens -> twenty somethings trying to be something they most obviously are not)generally to  blame for this influx. The ammount of times I see PS2 emulator possible? or I hired this game from blockbuster and have copied it to my HD but it doesn't work, why?
Or just which mod chip should I buy? They are annoying especially when they're by people with a post count of one.

Xeero I believe 5000+ joined in january (When I joined) I'd have thought that was a busy time.

If I were you I'd moderate the first ten posts to cut out so many questions, maybe send an email to all new members outlining the rules.

JSE I don't believe you'll be missed.

Newbies do a f*cking search

Anyone new to the scene I'd go for a modchip I think this hack is most useful to people who already know what they are doing.

Ok, here we go, hold on now: Calling someone a newbie for not searching is wrong, you should have called them a dumbass.  I'm a newbie in a lot of things, but I'm not a dumbass.  I look shit up first, find as many opinions/examples as I can before I stick my finger in the socket.

My issue is some little prick, that has done fuckall for the scene, bitching about newbies (disclosure: I also have done fuckall for the scene, but my fuckall is much nicer and has little ribbons and bows).  Hell I was a newbie (and still am) using IRQ.  I just don't give a shit about chatting with "me m8s."  But when I needed to get something, I learned where to go and what to do and I'm smart enough to know that there are dumbasses that will try to fuck you (like morons telling you to go to #9,000).

So, don't assume I'm a dumbass because I don't know something.  And don't assume just because you NOW know something, you are smarter than me.  There are a shitload of people on these boards that are WAY smarter than me but just happened to sign up latter so I don't assume a goddamn thing about their intelligence.

All that being said I do agree that people need to Read The Fucking Manual.  With that I whole heartedly agree.  What was it that Jesus said? "God helps those that look shit up on their own before asking dumbass questions."  I think that was it...

Well at any rate, don't confuse Newbie with Dumbass, dumbass.

P.S.  Heinrich was very hurtfull towards me and bruised my tender feelngs and I would like some fairy godmother to come down to him and give him a good talking to!
