Now, the question is:

With a XBOXDASH link, do we turn JUMP TO MSDASH and JUMP IF NOT LINK to YES?

Will that solve the clock error, and do both need to be set to Yes?

Sorry everyone, I had loads of stuff to do today.

I am using the original dash from a 3944 v1 xbox.  I wonder if sending an old xboxdash.xbe to a newer dashboard would cause problems (I know that the file is not system specific).  If not, maybe I could upload a patched file to xbins for everyone.  I don't want to test the clock redirect because I can't do the HDD swap very well.

And the second occurence of xtf in this (old) dash is a part of the program and should not be changed.

if you do the dash fix so you can boot the m$ dash unhacked yes you can set that way otherwise i recomend leaving them to no incase you lose power and dont whant a inf loop.

oh yea that sucks find those entryes on the live dash bro thats what 90% of us run.

Yo I got a question, What If I run another app/dashboard first thats not evox? Will this still happen or its all fine? If My clock resets and it boots up like that is it gonna endlessly reboot? If so I should make evox start first cause it "jumps to the ms dash", right?

Thanks!  beerchug.gif

Wouldn't it be better to do this:

Rename the original dash to msxboxdash.

Put the patched MSDash in place of the original.

Put the Burt & Whatever files in place as .xft instead of .xtf.

Point evox at the msxboxdash file.

This would leave the font files in place, If any application went to use these files they would still be there.

But the exploit should still work the same.

Hmm, I think there would be a problem with that.  A modified xboxdash.xbe would be unsigned code so the xbox wouldn't even boot the xbe to the point where fonts are loaded.  I dunno though, but there is no evidence to suggest that any program besides the dash cares about those files.

If I use this method to run the MS dashboard, will I be able to play my original games on Xbox Live?

This is weird... I have been able to run many apps usinv freexevox by signing them with xbedump -font... but I cannot get the M$dash to load while running freexevox... I have followed rickster's guide word for word, tried other variations and I still get error 21... can anyone else confirm that this does not work for k5051/d4920 combination. I don't see why it wouldnt work though. Thx in advance.
