texbum,

unfortunately yeah it means you can't use it as is since bert and ernie and !loader were based on the 4034 kernel. But the groups are probably working on other kernel versions atm and maybe some brilliant people have workarounds. Good Luck getting your xbox to work, at least you have a working box again.

Thx Kraken... didn't mean to forget you.... sorry bro...

hey I have a quick question... currently I have the bert and ernie exploit on my xbox... I have signed many programs to work with it... if I switch to the cheating exploit... will the xbedump signed programs still work with the cheating exploit... or do i have to wait for an xbedump to be able to sign for cheating exploit?

2A002E007800740066

is hex for "*.xtf" with the unicode 00's included. Search for that with hexworkshop making sure you search by hex value and not ascii.

7800740066 = "xtf"

These instructions are a little confusing to me. I get everything up to:

7. Rename xbox.xtf and xbox book.xtf to xbox.xft and xbox book.xft

If we rename these files, won't the font exploit stop working since the XBox looks for the font files by their other extentions? What is actually loading the fonts and getting triped up by the exploit?

The dash loads the exploit because the exploited fonts have the correct extension.

You're giving the original font files a different extension so the hex edited version can find them rather than the exploited ones and run without starting the exploit.

Make sense?

ahhhhhhh.

thank you. now it makes sence.

When it said "7. Rename xbox.xtf and xbox book.xtf to xbox.xft and xbox book.xft"

I was thinking it ment rename the exploited fonts "bert.xtf & ernie.xtf" that were renamed to "xbox.xtf and xbox book.xtf" Maybe it should be rewritten to say "rename the original MS *.xtf to *.xft..."

Kraken (or anybody),

I'm a stupid Xbox n00b. I can request a patcher for DASH :4920 so people don't have to mess with a hex app. Thanks. smile.gif

BTW, in in the hex app, can I just modify the text or do I have to mess around with the haxadecimal numbers?

I'm trying to research all the info and peoples experience before I get my exploit gameplan together.
________________________________________________
right now it's:

DASH :4920
kernel:5101 <----EDGE7 has had success, if I'm not mistaken.

Wait for my new Mega-X-Key

Use 007 exploit

Use b and e RELOADED fonts.

Patch and use the default.xbe and evox.ini from the b.i.c.o.e. release.

use kraken's dash boot modification.
