can you please post a before and after of a section of code that i need to hex edit?
it would make much more sence if you did that

i made a backup of a virgin hard drive, i get the invalid file size loop today for sum reason and i never got it before
but FYI U CAN STILL MAKE A BACKUP!!!! EVEN IF YOU GET THE ERROR JUST IGNORE THE ERROR BOX!

I only found it in one place 0007FFF8
I have dash 3944 kernel 3944 the backup that I searched is virgin(except for soundtracks)
ok so i just replace FATX with …..
or do i replace it with …..…..…..….. ?
EDIT: NEVERMIND IT IS STILL LOOKING. I thought it was done

Can I use Xlinux instead of HDD Driver? those invalid file size errors are driving me mad

it didnt work man why not instead of hex editing the image to save every one space and time to instead hex edit the hdd util its self to ignore this crap? can it be done?

Thanks to both Kanga (for figuring this out and making this post) and Bachi (for posting those extremely useful offsets).  I did this about 2 days ago and it worked great.  Now my Xbox is just perfect (except the Eject issue).
