Hi, I'm new at this, and i just like to ask a few questions. I'm just wondering if I can just FTP the 007savegame over to any unmodded xbox hard drive, instead of using mem card or action replay. i know this sounds kind of cheap, but there's no such thing as game rental at my part of the world, so I'd have to buy the game. another thing is does this saved game work with any version of xbox discs (pal, ntsc/uc, ntsc/j)? appreciate if anyone could help me out thx.

Question...

I did the EvoX install, and all went well, using the 007 evo installer. I was able to FTP in, and do what I need to do (Copy bert, ernie, etc). I restarted my xobx and bam, evo came up in all its glory. I started to install some apps, and this is where I Had a problem... all of my video seems to be zoomed x100  blink.gif  So I reftped in, and did a full restore of my drives... and rebooted. To my dismay... everything is still HUDGE!  Anyone have any suggestions of how to fix this?  I tried to reinstall evo, since I can FTP in.... since I can still run the evo loader, even though I cant see.  Anyone have some suggestions other then overnighting a chip?   sad.gif

I was also wondering if this is possible to do without the 4034 kernal? i have an earlier version, and if I cannot, would flashing the tsop with the evoX bios fix that problem?  I would really like to do this but my kernal is i believe somewhere like 3977?  Any help apprecaited!!!

just a thought... i havent modded mine because i have xbox live and i am holding out until halo 2 comes out on live.  i dont have a job but i might be able to save enough cash for a new xbox to mod.  i got ar for my b-day and am ready to mod my friends box.  i have two things i have been thinking about- 1.  what would happen if you DID load 007 every time in order to temporarily mod your box.  what wouldnt you be able to do and what would you be able to do.  would you be able to delete 007auf..... file from the hd and just boot to the ms dash normally?  does this mean you could load, say, unreal championship normally and play on xbox live?  or would i just be better off buying a new xbox.  since my live account is going to expire before halo 2 is released, i have to renew it anyway.  just sort of thinking out loud...  thought/question #2. if i were to mod an xbox this way, would i be able to install the czn halo mod and play halo modded?  please reply to my email address!!!  thanks!

I just thought I would try to give some answers...

1. You have to copy the save game to the hd to load it, that might be the problem?
2. You cannot ftp to the xbox UNLESS you have installed the save game hack first. Evox is has the ftp server builtin. Evox is loaded when you run the save game. You use ftp to copy over phoneix and bert and ernie so that you dont have to load 007 every time
3. It shouldn't matter what kernel you have anymore. Try again.
4. If you dont install phoneinix, and just run 007 each time you want to run homebrew you do not have to worry about live. I am sure M$ will not get upset about 1 saved game on your xbox. Just dont try to play a backup game on live, use your original DVD. (However if you do this, you will need to sign your backups/homebrew with xbedump before evox will load them).
5. The clock problem has to do with specific versions of the fonts I think. Try some other ones... And also try doing the xtf/xft hack on the dash, it might help since the dash is what sets the clock.

I have a problem though. I can transfer the 007 save file to my Action replay and copy the save game to my XBOX but when I go to load mission it asks me what device and then when I select HD is says "unable to load saved mission"  sad.gif

Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

K, first off, crudos for an excellent tut!!!  Really very helpful.

I am running into a problem with loading the saved mission from within 007AUF.  Keep getting "Unable to load saved mission.  Press A to continue."

I used an AR to copy the game save to the Xbox HD.  Didn't get any errors when loading the AgentUnder_BONDALL.zip file to the AR.  File structure is UDATA>4541000d>000000000000>temp>Skin...  Do I need to delete any of the directories or files, such as Skin?

My info is:
K 1.00.4034.01
D 1.00.4920.01

Thanks

could be that AR sucks, and have been known to not carry data correctly, or you might be overlooking something small, because i don't see anything wrong from what you put.

My problem with "Unable to load saved mission. Press A to continue." was definitely related to the Platinum Hits edition of the 007:AUF.  Borrowed an ORIGINAL copy and the game save loaded up like a champ.

There is another thread in this forum that points out some Plat editions works and some don't.

By the way, AR works just fine.

My AR works for other game saves and the copying all goes well. I guess M$ patched 007. Although when they patched it it probably created another bug. I'll just go buy an old used copy from eb and load that and hope it works.

Thanks for the help.

i have been able to transfer files from ar to xbox fine in the past, the file transferred perfectly to the ar, but every time i try to load the file with my original copy of 007, it gives me an error 21.  i was doing this on my xb live equipped system, so i tried it on my friends but got the same results (he does not have xb live needless to say) both of us have 4034 kernal and i heard the dash doesnt matter.  do i have the wrong evox file?  everything seems in order...  btw, has anyone been able to do the mod on an xblive machine with all xblive updates?  also, an idea to test for banning from xblive: new xblive games that are coming out are coming with a free two month subscription to the service.  install the two month subscription on a modded xbox and then go online.  i wonder what happens?!?!

-edit-
sorry about the whole file request thing...  i was a little pissed.  ive since tried several different files, and i have confirmed that my 007 version is correct (althought the # on the disc is diff from the # on the back of the box, the # on the back is a version after the source ive been using says to use, but the one on the disc says its the right one...)  what would everyone suggest, the mechassault one?  do i need to put a bios in the save?  is there anything i am supposed to do to the file?  DOES AN XBOX LIVE UPDATE AFFECT ANYTHING?
