It like overclocking your PC: of course you could just buy the next faster CPU, but it make's lot more fun to get the same speed out of a slower model...

So is the .nET framework DL on the MS update website needed for this program "HDD_Driver" (which I happen to have) work?

I'm looking for just how to get these files on my x-box. period. If I knew the clear cut way to do that, I can manage all the other shiat needed to be done. That's the easy part. I'm having like modders block right now or something ghey like that. =/

well what IDE cable do i unplug the one going into my cd rom? or the ecxtra ide plug on my hard drive?

did you make sure to use the free-x signed version of EvoX? I think you need to use that version or it won't work. You could also try the !Loader; personally I think that sounds easier at this point but then again who knows?!

well it is probably the one going to the CDROM drive, but to be honest with you it is probably not a good idea to attempt this if you aren't familiar with the concept of IDE channels.

There are probably 2 IDE connectors on your motherboard, each running a single channel which can in turn connect 2 devices on that single channel (hence the second connector on the cables). They should be labeled which connector is which channel, but you might need a flashlight or find the information in the motherboard/computer manual or online.

It is a good idea to research this information thoroughly.

Short answer: No.

USB is not capable of computer-to-computer connections without a special cable. This might be possible if the Xbox is _already_ running xbox linux and supports the special cable.

Huh? I am asking for the jumper settings on the Harddrives not my motherboard.

Hey not to jack this thread or anything, but try and follow this method! It works. and is a LOT easier than the HDD swap method. Less pain staking, and may allow you to get away scott free. Sorry, no intentions on jacking this thread.. I jsut feel efforts are best directed here...
