its free and there is really nothing hard about it basically:

switch power cable to xbox hdd with power cable from pc
turn on pc and press pause right away
boot xbox
wait 5 minutes
switch ide cable to xbox hdd from xbox's cable to pc's cable
continue booting pc
move our seaseame street friends to their new home

upgrade mang!!!! i suggest red hat 9 www.linuxiso.org (there is already a linux method of moving files to your xbox' hdd via hot swap)

same thing here bro, i actually got it up in windows xp, tried to open the fatx driver program, it would find the hard drive, but then it would give me infinity "invalid file size" errors... now i managed to backup the hard drive by going around the error, and used FatX explorer to see if it actually backed it up and it seems as though it did... so i guess the next thing is to find out why i am getting this error, i can't be the only one.

I installed all the files and evox dosen't boot. Everything else seems to be ok though.

Yes it worked. But evox won't boot. I'm gonna try it in linux.

guys... im almost positive this thing doesnt work... if it did... wouldnt it be pinned by now?... i think yall are S.O.L. for now... think about it... if u ever did get the new HD locked.... that means that bios thinks its a 8-10 gb HD (bc u havent changed the bios just the dash)... so ull still have a stock HD... the bios wont be able to access all that extra space.... the guy that worte that even said... tell me if it works(those arent the exact words but u get the idea)... i dont think works... i thought it did... but now im pretty sure it doesnt....
