generally the only exploits M$ cannot circumvent are in retail games that are already in the field, or exploits in boxes which are not connected to their XBL network.

as far as dashboard exploits and XBL goes, M$ are at liberty to circumvent these exploits - unless of course someone can somehow obfuscate them, this i very much doubt; in any case, far too much evidence of tampering exists on ppls hdds e.g unsigned xbes, etc.

this goes for modchips and software solutions such as the loader: it won't be so much about what technique you've used as it will be about evidence that your xbox has been tampered with.

the bottom line is that its a fair bet that in future they'll be checking the integrity of system files, if they update ppls dashboards instead of banning their asses then they should consider that 'getting off lightly' !

Don't shit your pants, you're their customer and not their enemy. Even if you run XBMP, the fact that someone actually connects to XBL means he's bought at least one game. Why punish him for that?

As far as I can tell, there is still no way to replace the hard drive without a hacked bios.  This due to the fact that the MS bios requires the hard drive to be locked.   And since you cant get the xbox booted with unlocked hard drive, so locking it in the xbox is out of the question.  Yes, the replaced hard drive could be used AFTER its locked, but there is no way to get that far.

Lock it using a PC.

EDIT:  One more example of why a modchip is ironically the EASIER way to go...not to mention the stabler, more reliable, and more practical way to go.
