I have heard conflicting reports. SOme say since the backed up game is on drive F: Live will detect and you will get banned.

Other says it works,

Some also say that if you use the dynamic patching complex loader, you can run the game off the dvd-rom (dvd-r game) and that allows you to play.

But the bottom line is, no is wiling to risk their eproms...

I dont think Live = Scene.

I doubt it'll let you use backups on Live, and if you can I think MS could find a way of sorting it.

Live <> Scene.

From what I undestand, this exploit does not enable access to F:, since that is a bios feature. So the example is wrong. You would have to load the game on E:.

Live does not do checking to see what "drive" the game is running from. Unless something has drastically changed in the last few hours

Ok, i put myself on the line and went to use Live with !Loader. When i went to sign in it said it couldnt connect and would i like to go to the troubleshooter. I hit Yes. The live video started playing then the screen when black at the end of it. Nothing ever happened. Anyone know whats this means?

I loaded a live game off E: with the font exploit i did not use a loader i just patched the games xbe and it loaded... but i went to connect to live and it said could not connect so i tried the demo disk and it connected so the system must be detecting something because its not even attempting to go on the network its just giving out a error

same with me VaporStone (seemy previous post). So i tried something else. I disabled the font exploit and the !loader dashboard and i loaded a retail castle wolfenstein and i could play on Live. Weird huh?

the key in the xbe is changed not in the bios to live your using an unmodified xbox correct?

What, the bios isnt modified. Thats the whole point of this is to not modify the bios.

HA. That is all I have to say besides this.

If backups can be played, Live is ruined. Don't we wish everyone was so nice and wouldn't cheat on Live. If we can play games on Live, MS will begin checking drives for extra data. That means I will need to replace mine so I can store stuff on F instead of E. That is almost the best case scenerio though...what if MS can't stop cheaters? Live will simply be as fun as Dreamcast was, without the lag.
