just another way to run unsigned code, except now you can choose when to run it...

free-x mentioned you could exploit .wav files played in the dash also, and that would be another way to do it in a controlled manner.
edit: actually .wav file is played immediately when the dash boots up, so you can't choose when to run the hack.

how about burning a .wav to cd that works as a boot-disc for unsigned code?
...rrr...burned cd's dont work, right?
what makes a cd that you buy different and whatever it is can it be emulated?

yes but isn't the dash very buggy when it comes to wav files?
perhaps a new exploit could be made?

I dont know anything about this.. but could you not find what wav file plays at start up. Extract it, modify it, burn it to a disc and see if it works on start up? Sorry, its 3:30am and I'm falling asleep...... that probably made no sence:)

Or could'nt you just replace the wav that starts up on start up with a modified one using the 007 exploit?

if the audio exploit that just came out can be dont after bootup (by selecting copy cd) why do you need to replace the bootup wav?
y not just run a wav from the built in audio player? that way you dont need anything but a cd
