Question: I was just wondering of M$'s feedback on the currently released exploit, which allows you to boot linux without a modchip?

Tem: will the games like 007/mech assault be remade?

Mike Pollock: We have not been given any information on that. We just know that legal action will be taken against the group that is putting out the exploit.

Tem: is it true employess from M$s Xbox division browse sites like "Xbox-scene?" or xbox hacker to find out information like this?

Mike Pollock: It could be possible, however that would be handled by a different department then ours.

Mike Pollock: No, there has been no announcement made yet on the next generation of the Xbox console.

how is it that u get in contact with M$ that easily and xbox-linux team cant

my view is M$ cant do any legal action as it is information of the public domain. you cant sue/chrage somebody for discovering information/hacks

remember the hackers code a hack is an accomplishment that took a great amount of skill

What's interesting is he said nothing about any efforts M$ will take to update Xboxs or dashboards. By the time legal action is taken against the hackers, backups will be easily playable on Live.
