I haven't been paying too much attention to this hack, but the 007AUF hack is different than this exploit. The signature on the fonts and the the signature on game saves don't have to be the same hash, or even the same algorithm, correct?

. I was going to diff it against the one in the habbi007 archive. Either is a binary copy of xbeboot, or it's not, and been resigned. If it is a binary match, the Free-X exploit must be using the same signature.

Easier to produce your own overflow than piggybacking on Free-X's.

Ok, I'll ask the dumb question.

Given this exploit is aimed at unmodded XBOXes, how easy is it to recover from a failed investigation/attempt?

I assume that you'd use the 007AUF Evolution-X exploit to FTP the files onto the HD.
If modified font files cause the dashboard to fail, can I still boot 007AUF and get to Evolution-X in order to restore the orignal font files?
Dumb questions I'm sure, but just looking for reassurance.

i dont see any reasion you couldent. you modded the dashbord if ya put a cd in befor the dash loads it should be fine.
