Do You Have To Keep Usb Connection Hooked Up
« on: October 09, 2004, 08:13:00 PM »

Is there a way to run the mod chip once you have everything you want installed without having the USB connection?  Everytime i disconnect the USB the box would load my BIOS.

Once you write the bios to your chip using the USB connection you can disconnect it.

When i sisconnect the USB from the mod chip the LED on the Chip shuts off.  Is this a power issue?  Was the chip installed wrong?

Yes, if the LED is off then the chip receives no power.

If you have solder install, verify pin #6 is soldered in LPC port ( that is 5V ), if you are using solderless install, verify you have a pogo pin on where pin #6 is.
