Maybe you selected the wrong kernel version, or maybe your dashboard wasn't the 5960 when you ran the softmod?

Yea sorry for the small amount of info. I could have written a book on the steps I had taken and was trying to keep it short...

My hd was failing and I did not realize it but I have the problem resolved now.
