Softmodded Box Booting To Ms Dash?
« on: October 10, 2009, 03:30:00 PM »

Did the Splinter Cell hack, ran into a bit of a problem. The xbox is softmodded, but it boots to the clock reset / MS dash, and not the modded dashboard.

Let me start off by saying I know that this issue has probably been discussed a million times - Had the same problem with my last mod a few years ago. To fix it I read somewhere to play through a game with a campaign.. The game I used was Mechassault. I don't remember how exactly I did it, but I got it working through that. I no longer have that game, and some search results have done nothing for me.

I put in a blank CD and it booted to the modded dash, but it still makes me set the clock first before anything happens. what gives? There's gotta be an easy fix to this, what am I doing wrong? Thanks guys.

Have you tried to set the clock with the A button and perform an igr afterwards?
(igr = Left + right dumbsticks + Black +back at the same time)
Maybe your xbox has a hardware fault so that it always looses the clock settings if you power down the unit?
If the above method works to go to your modded dash, your mod works fine.

regards.

Upgrade your softmod to Krayzie 1.1.1 or Kingroach NDURE 3.1 - both have the clock loop problem fixed, so it won't matter if your clock hardware is faulty.

True^
Softmod Installer Deluxe 5 worked like a charm for me.
