Omfg Please Don't Tell Me I Killed My Box
« on: January 28, 2009, 05:41:00 PM »

Ok, I have an xbox 360 but I wanted to go back to modding. Apparently the reason why I" got a 360 was because I changed something in the evo dash board and every time I turn my xbox on it goes to a black screen.

Someone, Please help me, I really don't have cash on me.

Help lol

Since you posted in the Game Save Exploits one would assume you have a soft modded Xbox.

Will it boot a retail game? Is this the original HD? Do you have a back up of the original files? The eeprom.bin?
What exploit was used?

I used Mechassault (Can't remember which exploit... give me a name and I might remember)
It is softmodded
It will not boot a retail game, and no, I don't believe I have a backup of the files
I think I'm seriously screwed, cause I've thought of everything and nothing will work

Since it won't boot a retail game it doesn't matter what exploit was used.

Your Xbox boots fine though, right? You don't have any problems ejecting the DVD and it sounds like everything is running right?

You have two options. The first is to hot swap, which I don't recommend, but it is free. If you do it, make sure you have a ground between the Xbox and the PC to minimize the risk.

The other is getting a mod chip. I have a solderless chip to use just for these occasions. Put the chip in, build the new drive and then remove the chip.

If you mean you turn it on and it won't eject at all but the light is green and the screen is blank the entire time it's a coma console. I fixed one of those for the first time on Wednesday actually. It's easy if you have early xbox's like v1.0 or v1.1 but any later and you need a mod chip, could you elaborate more on the problem.
