1. Google for it. It's against forum rules to give the link.
2. Alternative is to get Frosty's Xbox rescue disc and Kingroach Ndure from the usual place.
3. If you know how to modify xiso, inject the softmod files created from Kingroach Ndure to the xiso. Otherwise, read next step.
4. Backup your eeprom before doing all these:
    a. Cold boot with Frosty's. With ftp access, erase everything on C after backup.
    b. Add retail 5960 ms dash files.
    c. Add kingroach ndure files from C folder. Ensure ernie.xtf goes in before xbox.xtf  in xodash folder.
    d. Add E folder contents to E drive.
    e. Reboot without Frosty's.
    f. Now you have empty C, ftp in retail ms dash files which actually goes to shadow C.

hello Im going to be upgrading an old sid 3.0 softmod and ive used cash before on my sammy and had no problems, but once before, i used cash on a thompson and the format worked but not the restore, and i bricked that xbox, this xbox had a thompson drive. The new xbox has a thompson drive also, and im wondering if there are alternatives to relying on the crappy dvd drive to copy the stock files. I really dont wanna mess this new one up so i hope someone can help. thanks..
