Now the thing goes to a 21 on empty tray and backups.  I can still boot non-backups.  "No problem," I think, "just get out 007 and load the exploit save off my MC to get FTP back, fix the folder name and we're okay."

Have you tried a more recent gamesave exploit like Krayzie's Ndure? See if that loads and gives you ftp access.

Failing which , you can try hotswapping. http://forums.xbox-s...howtopic=496263

It seems that ltools has a tray open rescue mode. Try booting with eject button to see if it works for you and you have ftp access that way.

I can confirm ldotsfan's post. My first xbox has iTools and it does boot to the MxM dash when powered on with eject button.

I don't exactly know ltools structure but I don't think booting with the eject button helps anything with the bios loader folder renamed as it's needed to load any unsigned code. could be he signed mxm manually though for situations like this.

21 - anywhere -

This error says that the machine was booted to display a error, basically someone told the machine to reboot (or launch a xbe) with this flag, and the error code just means its been rebooted by the flag

This occurs frequently when the xbox is unable to boot due to dashboard changes being made (ie Gcue true blue hasnt been resigned, parts of the stock dash are missing - incomplete FTP backups copied to a new HDD for example).

Bypass the dash/Bypass the code. Ive done this myself. Really helps on a softmodded xbox, cause a softmod runs the MS chip(this is why no changing the "flubber" on a softmod)....then tricking the box to load the dash of your choice( mine is XBMC).

the proof is that if you take an unmodded xbox, put in store bought copy of game ( mine is Splinter Cell), power down...then back on, with game in dvd drive (cold reboot). It runs the "flubber" ( on the MS chip)...then goes straight to the game....bypassing the dash( on the HDD) altogether.

Running exploit shouldnt error 21 cause its not trying to load dash from HDD....its loading the dash for the installer which is in the gamesave exploit......if it were trying to boot dash that is on HDD (when running exploit) the modding could never occur cause it would error(1- because a homebrew dash isnt present on an unmodded xbox HDD and 2- by trying to load HDD dash instead of installers dash) everytime.

Hope this comes out the way it sounded in my head.....lol.

UPDATE:

Used LiveInfo -- serial number of eeproms I have don't match this xbox  dry.gif .

Is there ANYTHING I can do apart from using an eeprom reader (will a modchip solve anything?)
