Ndure Fuxxed Up The Xbmc Partitions
« on: February 03, 2020, 11:36:00 AM »

Hi community.
First post here and its already a call for help. While trying to update my XBMC Version I screwed up the dashboard (yeah right, haha, plz dont be too mean). Error 14 came popping up.
While panicking I was just focused on getting the box running again so I run a ndure reinstall via xboxhdm boot cd.
Box boots again but the ndure install somehow screwed the partitions of the xbmc. Data partition f: is regardes as "empty" while the space is still recognized as full. Under xboxdhm filebrowser there are the familiar c: e: f: partitions with all the games, videos etc.
But when booting to the evox dashboard...everythings gone again.
So my stoopid question is now, is there any way of getting my games/vids back to the dashboard without backing them up and making a clean reinstall? Is there anyone familiar with the ndure /evo-x etc. filesystem or partitioning that has a workaround for this?
This crap already ruined my weekend so I would be very happy not to have to copy the whole drive to my computer and then back.
So, would appreciate every answer.

you probably selected wrong bios. Try .06 bios and check if everything works.. if not then try .67 bios.. one of them should match your partition table.

Hi and thanks for the reply.
Came across some of your topics/answers, have been very helpful so far, appreciate that.
Thing is,Im no pro regarding softmodding and stuff, especially I dont know how to flash a bios via softmod. Or how ndure changed the "xbmc" bios.
Right now Im glad that I didnt brick the damn thing. Went from error 14 to 15 to 21 to 5 and right after a weekend full of hotswapping Im glad Im able to boot into evox thanks to xbmhd and ndure.
But thing is, games still missing. but before I end up with a pile of crap I will probably ftp the games to my pc via hotswap (under explorer360 everything is there) and backup them. Unless you have a quite simple explanation of how to re-flash the bios..
Thanks anyway!

Yeah. Problem solved!
Anyway. So because I knew the files were still there I checked out the Ndure-Toolbox which had a submenu about app-launcher and I read that you were able to access "hidden files" within the toolbox. And what to say? Starting the "applaucher" tool it found all my games. Now they are available again, under diffenrent dashboards as well.
Yeeehaw, saved my week!
Anyway, thanks kingroach for your faqs and how-tos. Wouldnt probably have managed it without them.
